Chickpeas Remains Little ChangedVANCOUVER - Aug 17/07 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were mainly unchanged in light trading interest during the past week. North American harvest activity is making progress in the United States, with new crop grower bids in California advancing from nominal levels which had prevailed much of the spring. Growers in the state are now seeing bids around U.S. $33 per 100 pounds instore processing plants for bagged, machine dressed product; while some processors were only asking a $2 premium to grower markets for generic quality kabuli chickpeas.
