Mixed Finish For BirdseedsVANCOUVER - Aug 10/07 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets posted a mixed finish under relatively light trading conditions, with North American inter-dealer markets displaying some weakness now that harvest activity is starting in the U,S. midwest and western Canada. White proso millet markets in the United States managed the biggest downward move during the week, losing U,.S. 75 cents per 100 pounds (cwt) on inter-dealer markets, while the best grower bids were off 50 cents on the week. Canadian canaryseed markets were also slightly easier on the week, as some processors worked to clear any ending inventories before growers start delivering new crop product.
