Sugarbeet Output FallingWASHINGTON - Aug 10/07 - SNS -- Sugarbeet production for 2007 is forecast at 29.8 million tons, down 12% from last year's record high 34.1 million tons, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates. Growers expect to harvest 1.24 million acres, up 2% from June but down 5% from last year. The yield is forecast at 24.0 tons per acre, down 2.1 tons from the record high set in 2006. Compared with last year, yields are expected to decline in all States except Colorado, Washington, and Wyoming.
