Ginger Root Output SlidesWASHINGTON - Aug 10/07 - SNS -- Hawaii ginger root production for the 2006-07 season is estimated at 2.80 million pounds, down 35% from the previous season, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates. Harvested area, at 80 acres, is down 20% from 2006. The average yield is 35,000 pounds per harvested acre, down 19% from the previous season.
