USDA Buys 16,810 MT Pulses
KANSAS CITY - Aug 8/07 - SNS -- The USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation office here confirmed the purchase of 16,810 metric tons (MT) of pulses for shipment as food aid.
Under terms of USDA PL-480 food aid tender invitation 087, the pulses were bought for shipment from inland plants between September 1 and 22 or from plants located at port between September 23 to October 13.
In releasing results of the tender, the USDA said it did not buy 120 MT of garbanzo beans because they were not offered.
