Lentil Markets Breath in Before New CropVANCOUVER - Aug 3/07 - SNS -- Markets are taking a deep breath before leaping into what some expect to be a rugged fall marketing and shipping campaign for lentils and other specialty crops. This left markets little changed in light trade during the past week. Quieter trading conditions were helped by the fact many Canadian traders were preparing for a midsummer long weekend holiday and many of their counterparts in Europe are now taking their traditional summer vacation break. Harvest activity is making good progress in the United States. Montana reports 30% of its lentil crop is now in the bin, while Idaho reports the harvest started the week 10% complete.
