Australian Livestock Auction Action PlungesSYDNEY - Aug 3/07 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd fell sank the past week on sharply lower sheep offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 19,530 sheep and lambs, versus 46,449 head during the previous week's auctions, and 2,326 head of cattle, compared to 2,676 last week. "Sheep and lamb numbers were back to a winter trend this week," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said. "Seemingly there must be a lull in live sheep exports as the edge has fallen off the heavy sheep market which in recent weeks has seen the right sheep making in the late $60's. This week however, $64 was the best achieved for some really outstanding sheep." Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
