No 3 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Jul 31/07 - STAT -- Canadian No 3 Red Lentil markets finished the 2006-07 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 23% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 3 Red Lentil was CDN$6.25 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $8.12 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $10.00 per cwt in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $4.00 per cwt in November.
