Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 13,450 MTKANSAS CITY - Jul 26/07 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders to start the 2007-08 season totals 13,450 MT, compared to 8,170 MT last year. Purchases of green peas are up 5,830 MT at 8,270 MT versus 2,440 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is down 2,640 MT from last year's 3,550 MT.
