North American Lentils StrengthenVANCOUVER - Jul 21/07 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week mainly unchanged to firmer as interest in sourcing North American lentils lifted slightly ahead of product available from exporters. New crop lentils are expected to be available shortly in the United States and the first lots of new crop Canadian lentils could be delivered to processors by month's end. Even so, markets remain cautious about the weather in Saskatchewan, recalling that last year yield was reduced by hot and dry weather during July.
