Edible Beans Hold ValueVANCOUVER - Jul 14/07 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were mostly firmer against worries about hot and dry weather in parts of the U.S. growing area and improved demand from European importers. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 979, unchanged from the previous week; while the grower index finished unchanged at 876. Markets are concerned about the impact high temperatures will have on yields in several growing areas in the United States, contributing to a general reluctance among processors to offer new crop product for sale.
