Seasonally Light Birdseed TradeVANCOUVER - Jul 14/07 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets were mostly unchanged to slightly firmer in seasonally light trading interest. Moderate advances were recorded for white proso millet grown in the United States, with markets rising 25 cents per 100 pounds on both grower and inter-dealer markets. Oil-type sunflower and confectionary sunflower seed markets were mainly unchanged in light trade. Commenting on sunflower are in the United States, the UK's Fuerst Day Lawson (FDL) said bakery grade sunflower is reported to have a decrease in acreage of 7% whereas there is reported to be an increase in confectionary of 11%.
