No Movement in Chickpea ValuesVANCOUVER - Jul 6/07 - SNS -- International chickpea markets finished the week's trading largely unchanged in limited demand and concern about the status of developing crops in parts of the U.S. growing area. The heat wave affecting California should have little impact on chickpeas in that state because most fields are mature and harvest activity is underway and processors have been reporting new crop deliveries. Canadian chickpea crops started the week in excellent condition, with Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food rating 66% of the crop good and 19% excellent, compared to 50% good and 16% excellent at this time last year.
