Dairy Product Markets Mostly Firmer
WASHINGTON - Jul 6/07 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States were mostly up for the week closing June 30, shows the current USDA report on the sector.
Cheddar Cheese prices received for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $2.02 per pound. The price per pound increased 7.6 cents from last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $2.02 per pound, up 2.3 cents versus last week.
Butter prices received for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.47 per pound. The U.S. price per pound dropped 1.2 cents from the previous week.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices realized for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $2.00 per pound. The U.S. price per pound advanced 0.6 cents versus last week.
