Domestic shipment: Offers, fob mills, milled rice, spot prices, dollars per
cwt, bagged. (All milled rice grade No 2 not to exceed 4 percent brokens,
except California grade No 1. All second heads grade No 4 or better, second
head and brewers are bulk.)

Domestic Situation
Domestic milled rice price quotes were mostly steady in the south and steady
in California. By-products were steady to higher in the south and in California.
In the south, long grain rice prices were steady instances 25 cents higher,
quoted mostly at 19.00-19.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at
22.00-25.00; parboiled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly from 20.00-23.50;
second heads were steady; brewers were steady. Rice by-products: Offers for rice
bran were steady to 10.00 higher, with tight spot supplies; millfeed was steady
to 4.00 higher; hulls with limited sales were steady to 5.00 higher.
In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly
from 25.00-26.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady
quoted mostly from 17.00-17.50; brewers were steady, quoted mostly at 16.00.
Rice bran was 5.00 higher; rice hulls were steady, quoted mostly at 15.00.
