Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 2/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Warning Summary:
Nil.
Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A series of weak fronts will cross NSW over the next couple of days, producing
isolated shower activity in the south of the state, particularly on the western
slopes. A more significant front is expected to cross NSW on Wednesday and
Thursday, with showers extending further north, much colder conditions on
Thursday with snow likely on both the Southern and Central Tablelands, possibly
down to 900 metres,  and generally windy conditions being seen over most the
state.
Forecast for Monday
Cloudy in parts over the southern inland, with some drizzle about the western
slopes and isolated showers developing in the far southwest late in the day.
Fine elsewhere. Mainly moderate west to northwest winds.
Forecast for Tuesday
Fine and mild to warm in the north. Isolated showers in the south, mainly about
the western slopes of the ranges. Snow showers on the peaks of the Alps. Local
morning fogs. Light to moderate westerly winds, fresh at times about the ranges.
Forecast for Wednesday
Fine and mild in the far north. Isolated showers elsewhere, more scattered about
the southeastern inland and snow increasing on the Snowy mountains. Colder,
fresh to strong, gusty westerly winds extending eastwards.
Forecast for Thursday
Fine, though cold in the  north.  Showers elsewhere,  scattered over the
southeastern inland. Snow likely over the central and southern ranges, down to
about 900 metres. Cold, strong and squally west to southwest winds over much of
the state.
