Australia -- Queensland Weather UpdateMELBOURNE - Jul 1/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology. IDQ1070001 WARNING SUMMARY No warnings. STATE FORECAST for the rest of Sunday and Monday Continuing dry throughout Queensland, extensive early frost over the southern interior Monday morning, including the SE coast, Wide Bay, Burnett and Capricornia. Generally light to moderate SW to SE winds and some weak afternoon seabreezes along the east coast. EXTENDED OUTLOOK By Tuesday, the weak high pressure system over the interior will be near Charters Towers with warmer NW'ly flow over western QLD. This will contract the early frost to near Roma. Some frost still in the SE coast, Wide Bay, Burnett and Capricornia. By Wednesday, a new cold front sweeping across southern QLD with a drop in temperature but no precipitation. Rather warm over the SE during Wednesday in the NW flow ahead of the cold front. Strong winds developing overnight Wednesday associated with the frontal passage over the SE region. Isolated showers redeveloping about the NE tropical coast. By Thursday cold again over the SE with strong W/SW winds. Dry over the state apart from isolated showers about the NE tropical coast.
