U.S. Bean Production Estimates By State

VANCOUVER - Jun 29/07 - SNS -- Dry edible bean growers in the United States were unmoved by market reaction to their March seeding intentions leaving total seeded area virtually unchanged by reducing them by 6,000 acres to just under 1.5 million.

The biggest changes from the March seeded intentions took place in Michigan, where growers planted 20,000 fewer acres than intended at 200,000. The next largest decrease was recorded by California, where actual area is 10,000 acres less than intended at 60,000; followed by South Dakota's.
