Overall Decline in U.S. Pulse StocksWASHINGTON - Jun 29/07 - SNS -- Available supplies of field peas, chickpeas and lentils are down sharply from year earlier levels as of June 1, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions estimates for the United States. The biggest year over year change is in lentils, with stocks in all positions plunging 69% from 1.8 million cwt (100 pound Units) to 554,000. Dry edible peas experienced a similar decline in available stocks, with supplies in all position s sinking 36% from 2.123 million to 1.366 million cwt.
