Mustard Seed Area Climbs in U.S.WASHINGTON - Jun 29/07 - SNS -- Planted area of mustard seed is estimated at 57,500 acres, up 17,000 acres from 2006, according to the USDA's seeded area estimates for 2007. Mustard seed area for harvest is forecast at 54,800 acres, up 15,600 acres or 40% from the previous year. Most of the mustard seed grown in the U.S. is yellow.
