Frozen Vegetable Stocks Decline
WASHINGTON - Jun 22/07 - SNS -- Frozen vegetable supplies fell 10% during May to finish the month at almost 1,181 million pounds, down 14% from the previous year, according to the USDA's latest report on agricultural products in cold storage.
Compared to the previous month, stocks of asparagus, broccoli, blackeye peas and spinach were up. Compared to last year, stocks of baby lima beans, broccoli, carrots and okra were down.
Supplies of potatoes in cold storage were lower, falling 4% on the month to 1,062 million pounds, down 4% from the previous year.
