Australian Livestock Auction Action RisesSYDNEY - Jun 22/07 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd jumped during the past week on increased sheep and lamb offerings. Throughput for the week totalled 36,020 sheep and lambs, versus 26,053 head during the previous week's auctions, and 2,057 head of cattle, compared to 2,092 last week. "Wethers with any semblance of a boat sheep were fiercely sought after this week and this trend had a tendency to draw all mutton sheep along with it," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said. "Store lambs held their very dear trend and best quality joined ewes are now going back to restockers at renewed rates." Subscribers can read the full text of the article by Clicking here
