Lentils Firm in Quiet TradeVANCOUVER - Jun 15/07 - SNS -- Spot markets for lentils finished the week on a relatively quiet note, with only limited trading reported, with prices unchanged to somewhat firmer. Seeding of this year's crop is mostly complete and crops appear to be in good condition, with Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food starting the week by saying the crop is in better shape than last year. Temperatures for the coming week are forecast to be cool, with limited precipitation expected. This should result in moderate drying of soils in Saskatchewan's lentil growing area, without dramatically affecting the condition of developing crops.
