Chickpeas Mainly Unchanged
VANCOUVER - Jun 15/07 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were little changed during the week in relatively light trading activity.
North American markets are watching the evolving weather story in western Canada, which has experienced a significant surge in planted area.
This year's actual seeded area will be known when Statistics Canada issues its estimates on June 26, while the U.S. will follow up with its numbers on June 29. In the meantime, Tuesday will see updated estimates for Australian seeded area and production prospects for 2007-08.
