Old Crop pea Exports Almost DoneVANCOUVER - Jun 8/07 - SNS -- A dramatic slowdown in export shipping activity is having little impact on North American field pea markets, which are entering the last seven weeks of the 2006-07 marketing year on a strong note. Growers remain convinced of the value of field pea remaining in their bins even though large North American seedings and optimism about Australian crop prospects point to a more competitive season ahead. Markets are looking toward the Australian government's June 18 crop production estimates to see if they accept Pulse Australia's forecast for 2007-087 seeded area and yield prospects.
