New Crop Feed Peas StrengthenVANCOUVER - Jun 8/07 - SNS -- New crop feed pea markets in Europe continued to strengthen during the past week against worries about supply availability and strong competition from the bioenergy sector for grains and oilseeds. Competition from human consumption markets is also having major impact, with growers in France looking at significant premiums for new crop peas as exporters work to fill outstanding sales commitments to the Indian subcontinent. Grower bids for June delivery finished the week at just Euros 165 per metric ton (MT), while bids for August delivery range up to 195.
