CWB Boosts 2006-07 InitialsWINNIPEG - Jun 8/07 - SNS -- The Canadian Wheat Board is boosting initial payments for wheat, durum and Pool B feed barley delivered against its 2006-07 pools effective June 14. The increase in initial payments for wheat will range from $15 to $18 per metric ton (MT), depending upon the grade and class. In the case of durum, the increase will range from $17 to $19 per MT. The increase for Pool B feed barley is $20 per MT. The adjustment payments, in dollars per MT, for representative grades in each pool account are listed below. The total initial payment to date is basis in-store Vancouver or St. Lawrence and must be adjusted for freight/elevation charges to arrive at farm gate prices. Farmers who delivered feed barley to the CWB between Feb. 1, 2007 and June 13, 2007 will also receive an adjustment payment. The payments will be mailed by June 26, 2007 or received by direct deposit on June 25, 2007. Farmers who wish to defer payments have until June 19, 2007 to notify the CWB at 1-800-275-4292.
