Current Weather Situation and Future Developments A weak low pressure system just to the southwest of Victoria will drift slowly eastwards across the State during the weekend, reaching the Tasman Sea on Monday. A strong high pressure system will develop south of the Bight during the weekend and is expected to remain slow moving over Bight waters until midweek. Victoria Saturday: Scattered showers extending throughout and tending to rain areas about the ranges. Isolated thunderstorms in the southwest. Snow on the Alpine peaks.
