Current Weather Situation and Future Developments
A weak low pressure system just to the southwest of Victoria will drift slowly
eastwards across the State during the weekend, reaching the Tasman Sea on
Monday. A strong high pressure system will develop south of the Bight during the
weekend and is expected to remain slow moving over Bight waters until midweek.

Saturday:     Scattered showers extending throughout and tending to rain areas
about the ranges. Isolated thunderstorms in the southwest. Snow on the Alpine
peaks. Cool to cold with light to moderate northwest to northeasterly winds.

Sunday:       Scattered showers, mainly in southern and mountain districts.
Alpine snowfalls. Local morning fogs in the north. Cool to cold.
Monday:       Scattered showers, mostly on and south of the divide, and falling
