MELBOURNE - Jun 1/07 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments:
A high pressure ridge extends across northern NSW, while a front is approaching
the southwest and will cross the southern inland during Saturday. An upper level
cold pool is developing over Victoria and will move slowly east on Saturday and
Sunday. A strong high pressure system will develop south of the Bight on Sunday.
The high is expected to remain semi-stationary south of the Bight, and direct
cool southerly winds over NSW until at least mid-week.
Forecast for Saturday
Early frost and fog. Isolated showers in the south, falling as snow on the Alps,
and tending scattered on the Southwest Slopes. Light winds.
Forecast for Sunday
Early frost and fog. Isolated showers in the south, falling as snow on the Alps,
and tending scattered on the Southwest Slopes. Isolated showers in the
northeast. Fine remainder. West to south winds, tending northeast along the
coast in the northeast.
Forecast for Monday
Early frost and fog. Isolated showers in the south, falling as snow on the Alps.
