Canadian Canola Crush Up in AprilOTTAWA - May 24/07 - SNS -- Canadian oilseed crush rose above below year and month earlier levels during April, according to the latest data from Statistics Canada. During the month, oilseed processors crushed 294,021 metric tons (MT) of canola. Oil production totalled 128,132 MT, while meal production amounted to 172,785 MT. Crush levels have been high in the 2006-07 crop year, with the August to April crushing totalling 2,688,295 MT, remaining above levels from the same period a year earlier.
