U.S. Crude Vegoil Output DeclinesWASHINGTON - May 24/07 - SNS -- Crude vegetable oil production remains below year earlier so far this calendar year, according to data compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Census. For the first four months of the year, decreases were recorded for soybean and cottonseed, while corn oil output is above 2006. Crude soybean oil output was pegged at 6,684 million pounds for the year, down from 6,693 million in 2006; while corn oil output rose from 803 million to 827 million pounds and cotton seed oil fell from 329 to 296 million pounds. The Census Bureau said oilseed crushers processed 4,348,095 short tons of soybeans in April, down from 4,672,487 tons in March. The month ended with 3,293.631 million pounds of soybean oil on hand, including 2,906.282 million pounds of crude and 387.349 million pounds of refined oil.
