Pea and Lentil Tenders Reach 3,440 MT
KANSAS CITY - May 23/07 - STAT -- The quantity of peas and lentils covered by USDA PL-480 food aid tenders this season now totals 160,340 MT, compared to 165,600 MT last year.
Purchases of green peas are up 5,110 MT at 26,520 MT versus 21,410 MT last season. Food aid demand for U.S. regular lentils is down 21,860 MT from last year's 75,720 MT.
