Underlying Strength in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - May 18/07 - SNS -- Strength in oilseed markets much of the past week added good underlying strength to birdseed ingredient markets.
This was especially true of sunflower markets, with oil type posting solid advances for both spot and new crop shipping positions.
Confectionary sunflower was mainly unchanged, though prices were already at relatively high levels for new crop delivery positions in an effort to ensure adequate production this summer.
