Rebound in Australian Pulse Output ForecastVANCOUVER - May 11/07 - SNS -- Pulse production in Australia is expected to rebound this year, with the country's industry association forecasting production of major pulses will jump from 709,830 metric tons (MT) to 2.257 million in 2007-08. Nearly all the recovery is due to a forecast end to the drought which devastated last year's crops. Improved moisture and prices is also expected to result in a minor uptick in seeded area of major pulses from 1.407 million to 1.476 million hectares.
