Cottonseed Output Sank in 2006
WASHINGTON - May 11/07 - SNS -- Cottonseed production in 2006 totaled 7.35 million tons, down 10% from last year, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates.
Reviewing disposition of the crop, the USDA said sales to oil mills accounted for 49% of the disposition. The remaining 51% will be used for seed, feed, exports, and various other uses.
