India Tenders for Yellow Peas
NEW DELHI - May 10/07 - SNS -- India's State Trading Corp. is tendering to buy 155,000 metric tons (MT) of human consumption quality whole yellow peas for delivery between July and November.
The tender will be welcome news for exporters in France and Canada. The tender is seeking 50,000 MT of European origin for peas delivery in July and August; and 105,000 MT of Canadian origin peas are sought for delivery in September, October and November.
Offers on the tender are due May 18 and must be accompanied by a bid bond for 3% of the value of the contract, which must be valid until June 30. The buyer reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount bought by 10%.
