Egg Usage Dips in MarchWASHINGTON - May 7/07 - SNS -- Food manufacturers used fewer eggs in March than last year, according to the USDA, with 168 million dozen shell eggs broken, down 1% from last but up 12% on the month. During calendar year 2007 through March, shell eggs broken totaled 478 million dozen, down 3% from the comparable period in 2006.
