Chickpeas Values Hold Steady
VANCOUVER - May 4/07 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were generally steady in light trade during the past week.
Limited supplies of old crop product has virtually silenced Canadian exporters; while uncertainty over what will be grown this year is keeping them from chasing new crop opportunities.
Competing exporters remain careful sellers, unwilling to lower asking prices. They remain confident that higher overall grain and oilseed values will be accepted by buyers are reasons markets must be careful not to drop sharply.
