Markets Finish on Quiet NoteCHICAGO - May 4/07 - SNS -- International agriculture commodity markets finished the week's trading on a relatively quiet note, with little fresh business reported. Cumulative export sales of corn now total 80.8% of the USDA's forecast for the full 2006-07 marketing year, ahead of the 73.5% on average over the last five years, note analysts with Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). Sales of 600,200 metric tons (MT) per week are needed to reach the USDA estimate. Cumulative sales of wheat have reached 97.9% of the USDA forecast as compared to 93.8% on average over the last five years. Sales of 101,600 metric MT per week are needed to reach the USDA estimate.
