Peanut Stocks in Storage Total 2.91 Billion Pounds
WASHINGTON - Apr 30/07 - SNS -- Peanut stocks commercial storage on March 31, 2007 totalled 2.91 billion pounds of equivalent farmer stock, versus 3.49 billion pounds the previous year, according to this USDA report.
This total includes 2.04 billion pounds of actual farmer stock.
Shelled peanuts on hand totalled 808 million pounds of farmer stock equivalent. Roasting stock totalled 54.3 million pounds.
Shelled peanut stocks totalled 608 million pounds of which 576 million pounds were edible grades and 32.2 million pounds were oil stock. Edible grade stocks by type included 124 million pounds of Virginias and Valencias, 415 million pounds of Runners, and 36.6 million pounds of Spanish.
March millings totalled 353 million pounds. Millings by type were 54.3 million pounds of Virginias and Valencias, 283 million pounds of Runners, and 15.0 million pounds of Spanish.
