Canada's March Poultry Placements Rise
OTTAWA - Apr 27/07 - SNS -- Hatchery chick placements on Canadian poultry farm,s rose above year earlier and month earlier levels in march, according to Statistics Canada.
Placements of hatchery chicks onto farms were estimated at 58.5 million birds in March, up 2.9% from March 2006. Placements of turkey poults on farms increased 6.8% to 1.9 million birds.
