Feed Peas Unchanged to FirmerVANCOUVER - Apr 20/07 - SNS -- Feed pea markets were little changed to firmer in light trade during the past week. European markets finished the week's trading little changed on the continent; while both feed pea and feed bean markets in the United Kingdom remain strong in the face of tight local supplies. By contrast, France's grower markets were little changed, though the average feed pea bid was down slightly on the week. Canadian markets were nominally firmer because of stiff competition from food markets for available supplies. This has affected the ability of Canadian exporters to sell this product, something reflected in a steep reduction in opening season shipments via Thunder Bay and in the limited quantities of feed peas in terminal positions in that country.
