Dairy Product Markets Advance

WASHINGTON - Apr 20/07 - SNS -- Dairy product markets in the United States closed the week ending April 14 with across the board increases, judging from the current USDA sector report.

Cheddar Cheese prices obtained for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.40 per pound. The price per pound advanced 1.2 cents compared to last week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.41 per pound, up 0.7 cents compared to last week.

Butter prices paid for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.32 per pound. The U.S. price per pound increased 0.9 cents from the previous week.

Nonfat Dry Milk prices received for bag, tote and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or USPH Grade A standards averaged $1.39 per pound. The U.S. price per pound increased 4.2 cents versus the previous week.
