Mixed Week for Edible BeansVANCOUVER - Apr 13/07 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were mixed during the past week, with North American origin beans nominally weaker and other origins little changed. North America's spot market index for dry edible beans finished the week at 973, down eight points from the previous week; while the grower index finished up 15 points at 893. Limited export trading activity was reported during the week, with importers asserting they are now seeing weakness in asking prices for U.S. origin black and pinto beans.
