Lentils Maintain Underlying Tone
VANCOUVER - Apr 13/07 - SNS -- North American lentil markets maintained their underlying firmness during a week which experienced only light current crop trading activity and virtually silent new crop markets.
Green lentils remain a frustration for growers in the region because of the inability of those classes of lentils to keep pace with red lentil values.
The strength of that market became more obvious on interdealer markets, where tightening stocks finally lifted track Montreal values ahead of those for greens.
