Australian Livestock Auction Action DownSYDNEY - Apr 5/07 - SNS -- Livestock sold through online auctions managed by AuctionsPlus Pty Ltd fell during the past week on reduced offerings because of the short working week. Throughput for the week totalled 22,967 sheep and lambs, versus 24,109 head during the previous week's auctions, and 2,871 head of cattle, compared to 5,707 last week. "Sheep values continued along last weeks trend with mutton fully firm to slightly dearer, store lambs fully firm," AuctionsPlus's Dean Lemmich said. "And the better news was that generally more interest in breeding ewes was displayed with quality young Merino ewes joined to SAMM rams making $80.20, their 3 year old sisters making $75.20."
