Current Weather Situation and Future Developments A weak cold front will cross Bass Strait today as a high pressure ridge over Victoria moves slightly northwards. Another high pressure system southwest of Western Australia will move eastwards to cross Victoria on Wednesday then the next cold front will move from south of the Bight to cross Victoria during Wednesday night and Thursday. Victoria Monday: Isolated showers developing across southern areas from the west during today, otherwise fine. Mild to warm with generally light winds tending moderate southwest to southerly. Fire Danger: Generally moderate to high. UV Index: 6 [high] decreasing to 3 [moderate] under cloud.
