Tightening Stocks Support LentilsVANCOUVER - Mar 30/07 - SNS -- North American lentils continue to firm during the past week against tightening stocks in both Canada and the United States. Exporters are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain offers for spot or new crop shipping positions in either country. This is especially true of green lentils, where total seeded area is expected to fall further this spring. Importers are getting resigned to this idea and many green lentil buyers are expecting new crop markets to strengthen after the April 24 Statistics Canada seeding intentions report.
