Birdseed Ingredients Little ChangedVANCOUVER - Mar 30/07 - SNS -- Few changes were noted on North American birdseed ingredient markets during the past week, with markets remaining generally worried about how much of these crops will be sown this year. Millet and canaryseed area in eastern Europe is expected to be down this year because it is more profitable for farmers to plant traditional grains and oilseeds under European Union farm support programs. In North America, stiff competition from grains and some oilseeds is having the same effect. This was noted on the sunflower seeding intentions for the United States, with oil-type area down.
