Sunflower Inventory Down a ThirdWASHINGTON - Mar 30/07 - SNS -- Sunflower stocks in all positions on March 1, 2007 totaled 1.09 billion pounds, down 33% from March 1, 2006, according to the USDA's March 1 stocks in all positions estimates. All stocks stored on farms totaled 406 million pounds and off-farm stocks totaled 689 million pounds. Stocks of oil type sunflower seed are 791 million pounds; of this total, 324 million pounds are on-farm stocks and 467 million pounds are off-farm stocks. Non-oil sunflower stocks totaled 304 million pounds, with 81.8 million pounds stored on the farm and 222 million pounds stored off the farm.
